Cloud Music

Cloud Music

I had this vision that I could stream my music while driving but use no data, this was the solution I came up with. Cloud Music was going to be a service you hosted yourself, in my case on a Raspberry Pi in my trunk, that lets you manage your music collection and then stream it to your phone using a webapp. The server was written in Python and the client in Dart using Polymer and Web Components. I never finished it but got as far as having a user upload some music, have all the metadata synced with Apple’s iTunes API for filling in missing album art, then streaming those songs to a webapp on an iPhone.
